This is the latest collaboration with a dress shirt manufacturer that has been running for several seasons.
The exquisite regular fit, which is neither too loose nor too tight, is inspired by the shape of dress shirts from Japanese fashion houses in the 1990s.
We chose an authentic ombré check pattern for the material. However, the material is a finely woven, ultra-high-quality, smooth-to-the-touch ombré blend of recycled polyester and organic cotton. The smooth surface characteristic of polyester dispels the image of a clumsy ombré.
This authentic dress shirt is carefully sewn by a Tokyo-based dressmaker, with meticulous attention paid to even the stitching and thread count.
The washing process causes the fabric to pucker overall, improving the texture.
