Two new dramatic React silhouettes kick off the release of "The 10th" Collection saluting Nike's founding father, Bill Bowerman. Serving as a major in the army's 10th Mountain Division during World War II, Bowerman and his men scaled snowy mountains in Italy fighting for the Allied cause. A small tab on the upper is embroidered with "The 10th", immortalising Bowerman's heroics.
Encompassing Bowerman's decorated Army career, the React Sertu applies military-inspired detailing with a tough woven nylon upper panel mixed with suede and leather overlays.
Inspired by Bowerman's story, the Ianga is designed with the sock-like elements of both a military jungle boot and a street runner. The Wheat and Phantom colourway, leather toe boxes and waxed laces introduce the Ianga as a unique, military-inspired expression of the React family.
Both pairs will be releasing HERE at midnight online (12:00am) Friday September 6th. Sizes (US) 7-13 including halves will be available in the React Sertu for $220 and Sizes (US) 8-13 including halves will be available for $190 in the React Ianga. Any remaining pairs from the online release will be available in store from 10am the same day.
