The shoe features a trademark smooth black leather upper, bolstered with red contrast stitching, eyestays and aglets, sitting atop a vivid red version of Dr Martens well known sole. The colour red is seeped in Chinese culture, in which red usually represents youth, luck or fortune. A final touch of detail is a co-branded red insole that uses CLOT’s signature silk-inspired print.
Bridging the gap between East and West, Brand founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon have brought a visionary revolution to the industry. Marrying traditional detailing with modern design, Dr Martens 1461 silhouette was the ideal canvas.
