After a few earlier drops this month, finally comes the bulk of our New Balance stock for this season…
How many brands does it take to create a collaboration? Well technically only two, but in this case New Balance teamed up with an astonishing three brands to bring this navy and gold 996. From the US, Stussy and Undefeated along with Japan’s Mad Hectic all seem to have had a hand in making what turned out to be a nice simple colour-up on one of New Balance’s under appreciated models. This shoe actually represents the fifth anniversary for these four labels collaborating and is available in-store and online right now.
Not since their collaboration with Alife has New Balance’s USA made 1300 graced our shelves. With a plethora of strong releases set for the future, this light grey colourway represents the first in an onslaught of makeups that will introduce a lot of people to one of the most comfortable runners around.
The 998 represents one of the most successful running shoe designs in the last few decades. Whilst the life span of a model usually lasts no more than a few years, the 998 stayed in production state-side since its inception thanks to a huge demand from runners reverting back to their favourite pair even with new high tech models as far as the eye could see. Nowadays the shoe has finally got a revamp in the form of new colourways that stray from the tried and true NB grey palette. This version uses a myriad of materials including suede, reflective black and coated canvas.
Following the forest green version we already have, we’ve got black and navy versions of this season’s 574 colourways. At $100 these won’t last long as many of you have found out, so get in store or grab them online before you miss out.
